Fort Cooper Nights of Lights – A Favorite Among Citrus County Events

Fort Cooper State Park glows with thousands of lights this weekend. Guests can enjoy festive music, warm bonfires, and a visit with Santa. In addition, volunteers will be serving refreshments in the pavilion. Because admission is donation-based, it’s also a great way to support local families and pets in need.

Top Citrus County Events: Inverness Christmas Parade

Saturday, December 13th • 12 PM–3 PM

The Inverness Christmas Parade brings floats, music, and classic holiday moments to downtown. This year’s “Holiday Favorites” theme highlights the traditions people love most. As a result, families can expect nostalgic scenes, cheerful displays, and plenty of seasonal spirit.


Winter Wonderland at World Equestrian Center – Ocala

The World Equestrian Center transforms into a glowing Winter Wonderland. More than one million lights fill the walkways with sparkle and color. Meanwhile, holiday characters, music, and themed exhibits create countless photo opportunities. For example, many visitors enjoy the decorated archways at the entrance.

Nighttime Christmas Monster Truck Ride – Clermont

The Showcase of Citrus offers a unique holiday ride aboard their famous monster trucks. Guests travel through bright displays and meet interactive characters along the way. Additionally, kids love the storyline that follows Santa as he protects the spirit of the season.


Wagons Through Withlacoochee 3 – Off-Road Rally & Cave Exploring

December 12th–14th • Withlacoochee State Forest

This off-road rally welcomes hikers, VW groups, and adventure lovers. The trails range from gravel to sugar sand, giving visitors plenty of variety. In addition, the area features caves and wildlife viewing spots. Because pets are welcome on leashes, it’s also a fun weekend for furry family members.


Toys for Tots – Help Local Citrus County Families
